🇺🇸Midterm election results are in! Democrats have won both chambers of Congress. Trump is still president, but advancing policies will be harder over the next two years. What markets are really waiting for isn’t who won, but whether capital can flow back into risk assets as political uncertainty subsides.

Three signals:
📈U.S. stock market expectations: State Street data shows that since 1930, the S&P 500 has risen by an average of about 14% in the 12 months after midterm elections. But historical patterns ≠ a guaranteed gain this time.
⚖️Congressional checks and balances: With Democrats in control of both chambers, Trump will face more obstacles to major fiscal and regulatory legislation. Slower policy changes can sometimes mean greater predictability.
🪙Crypto regulatory shake-up: Democrats may increase oversight of the crypto industry and businesses linked to the Trump family, while some crypto legislation faces renewed negotiations. But tighter regulatory scrutiny doesn’t necessarily mean BTC will fall.

My personal view: In the short term, uncertainty may ease; in the medium term, liquidity and regulatory policy will matter. Don’t assume BTC will follow the historical tendency for U.S. stocks to rise after midterm elections. I’m more inclined to look for opportunities after a pullback than to chase short-term rallies driven by election news.
