🧪 We're continuing the experiment, and each test is revealing something interesting.
There's an idea that seems simple, but changes everything in scalping: it's not enough to detect that the price is moving.
You have to detect whether that movement is actually worth trading. In earlier tests, we saw several signals that looked good at first glance 👀 • the price started rising • aggressive buying appeared • the bid held steady • momentum was positive
But then the problem emerged: 👉 the move was too small to cover commissions, spread, and slippage. And that's the trap.
A bot can “get” the direction right and still end up losing money if it enters a move that doesn't have enough room to run 📉
That's why we're changing the question. Before, it was: “Is the price going up?” Now it's: “Is there enough real strength behind this move to make entering worthwhile?” 🔎
To figure that out, we're starting to look at deeper factors: • real buying volume • actual upward movement of the bid • order book depth • imbalance between buyers and sellers • spread • momentum persistence
And something very interesting emerged: when the bid simply stays put, many signals turn out to be signs of exhaustion.
But when the bid genuinely moves up, the behavior changes quite a bit 📈
Now we're testing this new filter with fresh market data, without reusing the data it was designed with.
The real test is different:
Does it work when the market hasn't happened yet? We're continuing to measure, adjust, and learn as we go 🤖
