Riding out market cycles worked in the old days, but that doesn’t mean you can tough it out now.

This is Day 17. Today, let’s talk about holding a losing position with a heavy position size. People used to say, “Just ride it out and you’ll win,” but the market structure, leverage tools, and liquidity were different back then. Now, price moves faster and flash wicks are more frequent. If you’re heavily positioned, you might get liquidated before the rebound even comes. I’m not saying you should never ride out a position, but doing so with a large position takes a serious toll on your mindset and requires a lot of margin. You can learn from the patience behind old-school methods, but be cautious about holding a losing position with a heavy position size.

Your turn: Have you ever held a losing position? Did it recover, or did you get liquidated?
