Nasdaq has approved the listing and registration of Canary’s staked INJ ETF, ticker INJC.
According to PANews on November 5, SEC filings show that Canary Capital’s Canary Staked INJ ETF filed a Form 8-A12B for listing and registration. The filing states that the application to list the fund’s shares on Nasdaq has been approved, with the ticker INJC. Under normal circumstances, the fund plans to stake at least 90% of its INJ. BitGo will serve as custodian. The ETF cannot begin public trading until its S-1 registration statement becomes effective.
This is the first staking ETF for Injective to receive approval to list. By packaging staking rewards into an ETF, it gives investors access to INJ exposure with cash flows through traditional brokerage accounts. However, any meaningful inflow of new capital will only become apparent once the product officially launches. Key metrics to watch include when the S-1 becomes effective, the fund’s first-day size, and whether the staking ratio can remain stable above 90%.
Scenario 1: The S-1 becomes effective and subscriptions begin. ETF creations and redemptions, along with staking operations, continuously lock up some of the circulating supply, reducing the amount available to trade. Scenario 2: The launch is delayed or fundraising falls short of expectations. Gains driven by the news could quickly fade, as is often the case with smaller ETFs.
Are you more focused on when the S-1 becomes effective or on the fund’s first-day size?
