Longs are adding leverage, and Meow Bro is a little spooked by this signal 🐱📊

🔍 CryptoQuant data: Binance’s BTC funding rate has risen to 0.01, its highest in over two months. The 30-day average is only around 0.0046, putting it in the 95th percentile.
📉 About $143 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours: longs lost $97.5 million, and shorts $45.51 million.
👉 The long/short ratio among large Binance accounts is around 1.98, showing that longs are clearly crowded.
😨 Fear & Greed Index: 34 (Fear) — prices are fearful, but leverage is greedy.

Meow Bro’s take: A high funding rate doesn’t mean a drop is imminent, but chasing longs is getting more expensive. If prices pull back, longs could easily face a cascade of liquidations. Bitfinex also noted that buying pressure around $77,000 is coming mainly from perpetual contracts, not spot markets. Watch two things: whether BTC can hold above $80,000, and whether the funding rate keeps rising.
