$ETH Is Up 5.78% in 24 Hours. But Is $2,450 Where the Real Test Begins?
Ethereum has made an impressive recovery, climbing toward $2,450. But I’m more interested in what happens next than in celebrating the rally.
Here's what I'm watching.
ETH is trading around $2,432, with a 24-hour high of $2,450.74 and a low of $2,226.52.
The short-term structure has turned bullish after buyers pushed through the $2,338 resistance area. Volume expanded during the breakout, showing that buyers were actively participating.
However, there's a reason I'm not chasing this move.
Buying pressure is starting to cool.
Displayed volume is around 1.39K, below both MA5 (1.97K) and MA10 (4.82K). This doesn't confirm a reversal, but it suggests that the initial breakout momentum is slowing.
The moving averages still favor buyers:
• MA7: $2,432.40
• MA14: $2,399.41
• MA28: $2,361.85
As long as ETH holds above these levels, the recovery structure remains constructive.
Ethereum's ecosystem remains active
DeFiLlama's November 4 snapshot shows approximately $44B in Ethereum DeFi TVL, alongside $1.9B in daily DEX volume.
That's encouraging for ecosystem activity, although fundamentals alone cannot guarantee short-term price appreciation.
There's also a derivatives risk worth watching: positive funding and long-heavy positioning could make ETH vulnerable to a long squeeze if buyers lose control.
My key levels:
🟢 Bullish: A convincing breakout above $2,450.74 could bring $2,480 and $2,500 into focus.
🔴 Bearish: Losing $2,399 could expose $2,361, followed by $2,338.
My strategy:
I'm staying cautiously bullish, but I don't want to enter after an aggressive move without confirmation.
A successful retest of support or a volume-backed breakout would offer a more convincing setup.
The important thing now isn't how fast ETH rallied. It's whether buyers have enough strength to keep it going.
What's your take? Can ETH break $2,500 next, or will profit-taking push it back toward $2,360?
