When should you check the “Reduce Only” box on the order page?
Reduce Only adds a restriction to closing orders: no matter how large an amount you enter, it can only reduce your existing position to zero.
If the quantity of a Reduce Only order exceeds your current position, the excess won’t turn into a position in the opposite direction; the order will be reduced or canceled.
There’s no homework for this lesson, but the market may give you a pop quiz.
When trading contracts, think about your stop-loss first, then consider the potential returns.
