As a Switzerland-based foundation, the Cardano Foundation is an organization that supports the Cardano blockchain but does not participate in token issuance or public trading processes. The foundation published its 2025 financial statements on-chain. An independent auditor’s report provided by Grant Thornton was also included in this report. This marks the first time an independent auditor’s approval has been included in the foundation’s on-chain reporting.

This step aims to combine traditional auditing practices with blockchain technology to provide a cryptographically verified record of the foundation’s financial status and enhance transparency.
