98% of assets have been replenished! Binance has laid its cards on the table, and the panic can finally end.
I just took a close look at Binance’s latest security incident update (#7), and there are several crucial figures every trader should pay attention to:
First, real funds to cover the losses. Binance confirmed that it had set aside funds from its own reserves exceeding 100% of the total assets required. Around 98% of the affected assets have now been replenished. The remaining 2% is taking longer because of low liquidity, and is being purchased gradually through OTC channels. This means the worst is behind us, and the risk of a bank run has been completely eliminated.
Second, a major expansion of Proof of Reserves (PoR). The latest snapshot has not only been updated, but the number of tokens covered has also increased from 10 to 44. This is Binance using technology to prove to everyone that your funds really are backed 1:1.
Why is this announcement so important? Because for a centralized exchange (CEX), trust is its lifeline. When the hack happened, people were afraid that “Binance might be the next FTX.” Now that 98% of the assets have been replenished with real funds, this does more than calm FUD—it helps rebuild trust.
Looking at the charts, $BNB ’s earlier wick around $680 was probably the black-swan bottom of this move. With withdrawals fully restored and this announcement now in place, the case for a BNB recovery is clear. If you bought spot on the dip over the past few days, hold tight.
💡 Discussion: Are your withdrawals working again? How would you rate Binance’s crisis management and speed of compensation this time? Let’s talk in the comments.
