📌 There are three details in this data worth noting:
1️⃣ Job growth exceeded expectations, but did not accelerate significantly
The private sector added 86,000 jobs in October, above the market expectation of 69,000.
However, September's figure was also revised down to 86,000, meaning job growth was the same for two consecutive months.
2️⃣ The services sector was the main source of support, while some industries are still cutting jobs
By sector, the services sector added 82,000 jobs in October, while goods-producing industries added just 4,000.
3️⃣ Wage growth remains resilient; the Fed can't base rate cuts on employment numbers alone
ADP data showed that base pay for private-sector employees rose 3.2% year over year in October, while overall pay increased 4.7%.
📊 What could this mean for markets?
$BTC : Stronger-than-expected employment data could reduce market bets on rapid Fed rate cuts. If this strengthens the dollar and Treasury yields, it could put short-term pressure on BTC. But if employment remains stable and the economy shows no clear signs of recession, risk assets may not necessarily continue to fall.
$ETH 、$SOL : Both are relatively sensitive to market liquidity and risk appetite. Going forward, watch for changes in interest-rate expectations and fund flows within the crypto market.
The dollar and U.S. stocks: Resilient employment helps ease recession concerns, but could also lead markets to scale back expectations for monetary easing. Interest-rate changes remain important to watch for tech stocks and high-valuation assets.
