There’s an interesting bipartisan detail in the midterm elections.

Saylor called out two people today: Florida’s newly elected Republican governor, Byron Donalds, who previously backed H.R. 2112, a bill to provide “legislative backing” for a U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, and said during his campaign that Florida could consider a state-level reserve; and Texas’s newly elected Democratic senator, James Talarico, who voted in favor of a Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SB 21, signed into law in 2025) while serving in the state House.

One is a Republican governor, the other a Democratic senator—and both have been associated with the idea of “holding Bitcoin as a reserve.” The fight over how congressional seats will shake out is still ongoing, but at the state level, people on both sides have backed the idea.#BTC #Midterm elections
