🚨 The theft of 6.3 BILLION from Binance started with a fake job interview 👀

I read the official report on the attack, and the lesson applies to anyone who owns crypto.

🎭 An engineer received a job offer from a company that didn’t exist. After two interviews, they asked him to download a “technical test” to his work computer. It was a virus that no antivirus software detected.

🧠 Using that infected computer, the attackers used an internal artificial intelligence tool to access the computers of two other engineers, and from there they reached the wallets. It wasn’t a one-day lapse: the plan began in June.

🛡️ Here’s what matters to you: around 2.85 billion has already been frozen or intercepted, and the exchange says it has replenished 98% of the affected funds. BNB is near $718, almost 3% up on the day.

📈 The market is already looking ahead: Bitcoin has surpassed $80,900, ETH is up more than 6% to around $2,430, and ZEC is up more than 12% to around $1,343, just hours before its major upgrade.

💡 What this means for your wallet: if expert engineers were hacked with a job offer, you could be tricked with a file, an installer from an ad, or a “gift.” Never download anything from strangers on the device where you keep your keys.
