11:10 p.m. The books are balanced, and I’ve put the screenshots below. Don’t rush to accuse me of humblebragging—the XAUT grid made 63 trades this week, with 1,047U realized, and I’m still holding a batch of core positions bought below 4,000. BTC is currently at 80,560, up 4.0% in 24 hours; Ξ ETH is at 2,428, up 5.9%; and XAUT is at 4,024, up 2.3%. All three are trending bullish on the 4-hour chart. But the money I made didn’t come from this rally.

Here’s the unpleasant truth: gold moved sideways for three days last week, and the grid didn’t make a single trade. I still paid 40U in fees. For those three days, I stared at the screen wondering if the system was broken. So don’t think I’m some kind of trading guru. I just set my price range and position size in advance, then resist the urge to interfere manually.

Today’s nonfarm payrolls news sparked another debate about rate-cut expectations, and that’s what finally gave gold the confidence to move higher. XAUT rises slowly, but the upside of that is the grid can keep capturing those moves.

By the way, here’s a question: how wide do you set your XAUT grid range? Drop a percentage in the comments, and I’ll pick a few to explain how I set mine.

Honestly, 🚨 if you want to see my actual trades every day instead of edited screenshots, follow me. I’ll post even on losing days.
