Let’s talk about BNB’s burn mechanism.
BNB was first launched in 2017, with an initial total supply of 200 million. The long-term goal is to reduce the total supply to 100 million through burns.
To be honest, I only learned this later: when following burn announcements, rely on official BNB announcements and on-chain data, and don’t blindly trust secondhand reports.
The total supply of $BNB gradually decreases through quarterly burns and real-time on-chain burns. Currently, 700.24.
Understanding the mechanism can help you avoid pitfalls, but it can’t replace risk management.
