Binance’s funds have started flowing back, but the scammers have followed.
During the first phase on November 1, from 06:00 to 15:30 UTC, Binance processed $4.649 billion in withdrawals and $1.01 billion in deposits, for a net outflow of about $3.64 billion, or approximately 2.1% of its $171 billion in assets.
By 03:00 UTC on November 3, hourly deposits exceeded withdrawals for the first time. But be careful to distinguish the cumulative figures: from November 1–3, total withdrawals were about $10.97 billion and deposits about $5.695 billion, leaving a cumulative net outflow of about $5.276 billion. In the final hour, deposits were about $193 million and withdrawals about $183 million, for a net inflow of just $10 million.
The warning most worth saving came from co-CEO Richard Teng on X: Impersonators are using claims like “priority processing,” “compensation claims,” and “secure vaults” to target users waiting to withdraw. Binance will never contact you first, charge an acceleration fee, or ask you to sign or transfer coins to unlock a withdrawal. Only trust the official app and official verification pages.
