Crédit Mutuel Arkéa confirms it was hacked; ZachXbt estimates losses of over $133 million.

According to Bitcoin News, the bank confirmed that hackers carried out fraudulent transactions. Blockchain analytics firm Bitquery tracked $108.8 million in USDC transferred out of accounts at Kraken, Crypto.com, and OKX over 21 hours. To avoid the issuer freezing the funds, $63 million was converted into 27,553 ETH within four hours.

· The bank says the attack has been contained and customers will not lose funds, but the total amount stolen has not yet been confirmed.
· Converting stablecoins into ETH was intended to avoid an issuer freeze. This only indicates how the funds were moved; it does not reflect the scale of the losses.

Will the final amount stolen be close to ZachXbt’s estimate, or to the figure confirmed by the bank?
