Hacker threats in the AI era are not just a problem for the crypto industry!
CZ warns that AI is making hacker attacks more frequent and efficient. Even crypto exchanges are not immune; traditional banks and everyday infrastructure face risks too.
Two incidents have occurred recently:
• 🇫🇷 French bank Crédit Mutuel Arkéa was hacked, and more than $133 million was stolen from multiple accounts. The funds were transferred on-chain in the form of USDC and USDT.
• 🇸🇪 On November 2, hackers broke into the refrigeration systems of several supermarkets in Europe. The temperature in a freezer at a Swedish ICA store even rose to 50°C, causing large quantities of food to spoil and be discarded.
