The Nasdaq has corrected for the third time this year.

Some people rushed in with leverage to buy the dip, only to get buried again. The internet immediately split into two camps: one side scolded, “Dollar-cost averaging is too slow—you missed the rebound”; the other sneered, “Serves you right. You should’ve listened to the AI bubble warnings.”

I won’t hide where I stand: the louder the arguments get, the more you should stick to your scheduled investments. Don’t play along with your emotions. Using leverage to buy the dip is essentially a bet on calling the turning point; dollar-cost averaging means admitting you can’t predict it.

But I want to peel back another layer: are people who keep dollar-cost averaging into the Nasdaq after a drop like this sticking to their discipline, or betting that “AI can’t be a bubble”?

Are you still brave enough to make your scheduled investment this week? If you do, is it discipline? If you stop, why?
