$OPN |OPINION Trading volume rose to 2.1 times the usual level ($16.2 million in 24h vs. the usual $7.86 million).
To assess how meaningful this volume spike is, check three things:
Are the trades coming from a single popular trading pair?
Have the number of trades and trading addresses both increased? If only the amount is up but the number of addresses isn’t, it could be wash trading.
Did large arbitrage trades account for most of the volume?
Only when all three look normal can we call it a genuine recovery in demand.

Use this as a reference, but don’t take it as gospel.
