② The market-wide account long/short ratio is the number of net-long accounts divided by the number of net-short accounts. Each account counts as one, regardless of position size.
③ When looking at the long/short ratio, check whether it is based on the number of accounts or on position size. The same figure means different things under different measurement methods.
