【The 2021 bull-to-bear turn: ENA’s first tentative move amid extreme fear】

In 2021, I went from thinking “the market is handing out free money” to feeling anxious with my portfolio fully invested. The weekly average FNG was 34, ENA was down 88% from its ATH, and it fell 11.8% over 7 days—yet rose 7.7% in 24 hours. Someone may be testing the waters amid the panic, but a rebound doesn’t mean the bottom is in.

Are whales quietly accumulating on-chain? Trading volume exceeding 5% of market cap has the feel of big-money turnover, but without evidence from wallet concentration or net exchange outflows, I won’t translate high volume into accumulation. We saw this playbook back in 2017; the way they shake people out hasn’t changed.

Ultimately, ENA needs to reconnect product revenue and real-world use with the token’s value proposition; otherwise, when the hype fades, the story is still just a story. Token holders, ecosystem players, and market-making capital will feel the impact first.

A prerequisite for buying the dip is that panic doesn’t worsen, volume doesn’t collapse after the rebound, previous lows aren’t repeatedly broken, and the product thesis remains intact. The risk is that this 7.7% may just be short covering—and the high volume could even be distribution. I’m not making predictions; I’m just watching to see whether all the conditions line up.

Would you dare buy the dip during extreme fear? I’m itching to, but this time I may not be the first to act.
