Morgan Stanley is getting in on it too: using DTCC’s tokenization services to tokenize U.S. stocks and Treasuries.

The company says it is one of the first banks to join. DTCC’s custody subsidiary, DTC, holds about $114 trillion in assets. When the service soft-launched last week, around 20 institutions signed on, including JPMorgan Chase, Citi, Fidelity, State Street, UBS, and others. The underlying infrastructure will initially support Canton and private Besu networks. Amy Oldenburg, head of digital asset strategy, said that hands-on experience integrating with existing market infrastructure will continue to inform the company’s future capabilities.

Meanwhile, tokenized stocks on Morgan Stanley’s own alternative trading system are targeted for launch in the first quarter of 2027—pushed back from the previously stated second half of 2026. The custody-side pipeline is open, but the trading side will have to wait a little longer. #代币化 #DTCC #RWA
