You only understand after losing big: the most agonizing part isn't how much you lose, but getting greedy for one last bite just as you're about to break even..

In my first few years in the game, I lost 500,000 in total.

At my lowest point, my account was almost wiped out. I didn't dare open my trading app for two months, and just seeing a candlestick chart made me sick.

At the beginning of this year, I started over with the 3,400U I had left, and eventually grew it to 250,000U. Then I slowly worked my way back up. It wasn't thanks to some miracle trade—I changed three things.

First, I stopped going all in. I used to think one trade could make me whole again. Now, I risk at most 40% on any single trade, and set a firm stop-loss before entering. If I lose, I accept it; I don't add to my position and stubbornly hold on. Every extra second I hold on adds more risk.

Second, I only trade with the trend. I used to try to call tops and bottoms every day, taking both long and short positions, and getting hit from both sides. Now I wait for the trend to emerge before entering. If I can't read the market, I wait. Missing a move doesn't bother me; chasing the wrong one can be fatal.

Third, I take profits off the table first. With each profitable round, I keep 30% in play and lock away the other 70%. No matter how good the numbers on the screen look, if you don't withdraw the money, they can shrink at any moment.

From 3,400U to 120,000U, I had favorable market conditions and some luck. It's not something everyone can replicate just by doing the same. You only understand after losing big: the most agonizing part isn't how much you lose, but getting greedy for one last bite just as you're about to break even, then giving your profits right back.

Don't rush into things. Fix your old bad habits first. Survive first; the rest can come gradually. @BTC梵昕
