【Follow Lao Jiu for wealth】Nasdaq rebounds 0.8% as chip stocks rally across the board! Are bargain hunters returning to tech stocks?
U.S. tech stocks finally staged a rebound. At the close on November 3, the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.83% to 25,372.01; the S&P 500 gained 0.36%, while the Dow Jones fell 0.38%. The rebound was driven mainly by semiconductor and mega-cap tech stocks, rather than a broad-based market rally.
📌 Three details about this rebound are worth watching:
1️⃣ Chip stocks led the rebound
Nvidia rose about 2.3%, Broadcom gained about 3.1%, Micron climbed about 2.6%, and AMD advanced about 3.7%.
2️⃣ Mega-cap tech stocks delivered mixed performances
Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta each gained more than 2% on the day, supporting the Nasdaq.
Apple, however, fell about 1.9% after warning that higher memory chip costs could squeeze profit margins in the holiday quarter.
3️⃣ A Nasdaq rebound does not mean the correction is over
The Nasdaq 100 had already fallen more than 10% from its October 6 peak, entering correction territory.
📊 What does this mean for the market?
$BTC : A rebound in tech stocks may ease pressure on sentiment toward risk assets, but Bitcoin is also influenced by dollar liquidity, interest rates, and its own capital flows. A rise in the Nasdaq alone is not enough to conclude that BTC has reversed course.
$ETH 、$SOL : If tech stocks stabilize, risk appetite may gradually recover, providing sentiment support for volatile assets. However, a sustained rally will also require inflows into the crypto market itself.
AI-related tokens: A recovery in chip stocks may improve market sentiment around the AI narrative, but rising share prices for chip companies do not mean that AI crypto projects' revenue and token values will rise in tandem.
