“Another attack against Binance”—that’s how Changpeng Zhao characterized it when reposting a lengthy public-opinion analysis.
The analysis covered approximately 78 hours of data from October 30 to November 2: 1,083 accounts published 11,700 hostile posts about the Binance hack, generating around 20.93 million impressions. Of these, 3,354 posts were identified as misinformation. The narrative shifted alongside the official response, with claims of “insiders,” “insolvency,” and “being afraid to withdraw” taking turns.
Of the 641 most active accounts, 452 showed signs of coordination. Some 89% rarely mentioned Binance under normal circumstances, but during the incident their posting frequency surged to 24.6 times the baseline. While Binance was restoring withdrawals, calls to “withdraw immediately” and warnings of a “bank run” peaked at 11.2 posts per hour—the highest rate across all stages.

Observation 1: If withdrawals continue smoothly and the KYC and audit results are released, sentiment may gradually cool. Observation 2: If calls to action fade as the incident recedes, the impact on sentiment toward BNB may also subside. Which are you watching more closely: the smooth operation of withdrawal channels or the timing of the audit results?
