A-shares are taking off! The ChiNext Index is up over 6.4%, and the STAR 50 Index is up over 9.9%!
This afternoon, A-shares suddenly staged a major rally.
As of 14:07:
- Shanghai Composite Index: up 2.16%
- Shenzhen Component Index: up 4.22%
- ChiNext Index: up over 6.4%
- STAR 50 Index: up over 9.9%
- Nearly 4,700 stocks across the market were up
Semiconductor ETFs also hit a record high in trading volume.
This rally didn’t come out of nowhere.
First, AMD’s third-quarter results beat expectations, with data center revenue up 97% year over year, once again showing that global demand for AI computing power remains strong.
Second, ChangXin Technology raised its planned share buyback to as much as 5 billion yuan, with a leading domestic semiconductor company actively signaling confidence.
Add to that the continued support signals for capital markets from the central bank and the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and the policy floor, industry catalysts, and rebound from oversold levels have finally converged.
Technology stocks underwent a very sharp correction earlier, and market sentiment had become quite pessimistic.
But the long-term trend in the AI industry hasn’t changed. Companies with real orders, solid earnings, and technological barriers remain worth watching.
Today’s big bullish candle at least shows that risk appetite is recovering rapidly.
Next, watch for:
1. Whether trading volume continues to expand, rather than this being a one-day spike.
2. Whether the rebound in technology stocks spreads from industry leaders across the supply chain and is backed by earnings.
If both conditions are met, today could mark an important turning point for a new market rally.
