BTC spot: Let’s talk about both pullbacks and breakouts
Use today’s range for limit orders, not round numbers you have in your head.
For spot, don’t go by gut feeling—use today’s range.
BTC 78,349 (+2.24%), 24h range 75,736–78,488. ETH 2,318 (+2.78%), ETH/BTC 0.02958.
ETH at +2.78% is outperforming BTC at +2.24%, with the exchange rate at 0.02958. This looks like risk appetite spilling over—not BTC going it alone.
Limit orders:
- First tranche: 77,409–77,879; buy only one-third
- If 76,939 breaks, stop—don’t add a second tranche
- If it gets above 78,976, reassess the breakout; even then, add only one tranche
For spot, I’m only waiting for a pullback to my levels, not guessing what U.S. stocks will do. Reconsider a breakout only above 78,488; until then, leave the limit orders as they are.
Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. Missing figures are left blank.
Would you place orders at the pullback levels, or wait for the candle to close?

Takeaway: On the day a regulatory fine is imposed, compliant coins and meme coins can diverge.
Food for thought: Holdings down, price flat: reducing your position isn’t accumulation—the market hasn’t rewarded that direction yet.
