The chain of interests behind the Binance hack: Are we seeing the truth, or just the tip of the iceberg?

On October 31, the U.S. FBI issued a statement officially attributing the theft of more than $6 billion in crypto assets from Binance to the North Korean hacking group TraderTraitor.
Park Jin Hyok, pictured here, is one of the North Korean hackers previously named in an FBI wanted notice and is linked to North Korea’s Lazarus hacking group.
It is worth noting that the U.S. has currently identified the TraderTraitor group, but has not confirmed that Park Jin Hyok himself was directly involved in this Binance attack.
Even more alarming, the attack reportedly involved fake job offers and malicious software, and even exploited internal AI tools to gain system access.
This is no longer just a simple exchange security issue; it is a security challenge that the entire crypto industry must face.
Two questions are worth considering:
1️⃣ If even the world’s leading exchanges could fall victim to an attack of this magnitude, how can ordinary investors’ assets be protected?
2️⃣ As AI technology becomes increasingly powerful, will the crypto industry’s security defenses be able to keep up when hackers use AI to launch attacks in the future?
After this incident, do you think people will still trust centralized exchanges as they did before?
