As results came in throughout U.S. Election Night, the Democrats had already been projected to win 51 Senate seats, and media outlets were also expecting them to take the House.
This morning, BTC followed the news, sliding from $77,970 to $75,740. Nasdaq futures were down 2% at the time, too.
The options market was interesting, though: around $660 million in block trades on Election Day, with about $420 million in call buying and only about $105 million in call selling.
This afternoon, the price has already returned to around $78,000. All of this morning's losses have been recovered.
