I’m honestly amazed—who knew you could play it like this? AMD’s earnings just came out in the U.S. stock market, and someone on Solana casually launched a dog coin called AMD. Its market cap hit $3.67 million in just two hours 😂

A little after 5 a.m. Beijing time today, AMD reported a monster quarter: revenue of $13.38 billion, up 45% year over year, and its share price surged around 8% after hours. Not long after, a coin called A Meme Dog popped up on pump.fun, with the ticker AMD too—running smack into the real stock’s name.

When it started trading around 5:30, its market cap was about $50,000. By 7:30, it had touched a high of roughly $3.67 million—about a 75x gain from the top. Around then, a bunch of accounts on Twitter were copy-pasting the same shill posts, showing screenshots of a few thousand bucks turning into tens of thousands.

The hype didn’t last long. A little after 2 p.m., its market cap briefly fell to around $950,000, nearly 75% off the peak. It’s now hovering around $1.43 million, and trading volume across several pools has topped $13 million over the past 24 hours.

The earliest buyers made more than 50x in the time it takes to eat breakfast. Those who only spotted the screenshots after 7 and chased in are probably still stuck halfway up the mountain. The moment U.S. stock earnings drop, even dogs on-chain want a piece of the action. Things really are moving faster and faster.
