ME News, November 4 (UTC+8) — U.S. President Trump congratulated Democrats on their victory in the midterm elections. Trump said, “Congratulations to the Democrats. I look forward to working with you and joining forces for the good of our country.” Trump also said, “I know a lot of Democrats, and I have absolute veto power. I believe we can find a way to solve the problems. I think they will be willing to work with me; otherwise, I’ll veto everything, and they won’t want that to happen.” Explaining why Republican candidates lost, Trump added, “In some cases, voters didn’t like those candidates; in others, those candidates weren’t my friends, and Republican voters at the grassroots level knew that better than anyone. So they weren’t actively involved in voting. If I had been on the ballot, we could have won easily, which is a shame. But I wasn’t running.” Asked whether he was frustrated by this, Trump said he had “done his very best” and had “given it everything.” Trump also spoke about the war with Iran, saying it would end “when I say it ends.” (Source: ME)
