My position shows a 50% gain, so why has the coin price only gone up 5%?
This is how I understand it: the returns shown on the page can look exaggerated, often because of leverage. They’re not the same as the coin’s actual price movement.
With 10x leverage, a 5% price increase means a long position earns about 50%; conversely, a 5% price drop means a return of −50%.
What I do: I don’t treat unrealized gains as money already in my pocket. If the price pulls back, those gains can shrink quickly.
Finally, here’s the price: $BTC is at 76970.6, 24h -0.18%.
