I spent quite a while discussing this with friends in the group: Brazilian exchange Mercado Bitcoin was hacked and lost around $38 million, and has promised to compensate users.
This is somewhat negative news, and could easily shake confidence in the short term. The key thing to watch is whether selling pressure continues.
