Sun Yuchen is once again at odds with World Liberty Financial, which is linked to the Trump family.

His lawyers have asked a federal court in California to sanction WLFI and its lawyers. In April, he sued them for fraud and unlawfully freezing the $WLFI tokens he bought for about $45 million. At first, they only reported that they were Florida citizens. Less than a week after the court signaled in August that it was inclined to keep some claims in open court, they suddenly changed their position, citing 22 members in the chain of ownership and bringing up UAE citizenship, then arguing on that basis that the federal court lacked jurisdiction.

Sun Yuchen put it bluntly: they were “Proudly American” when selling the tokens, but only remembered their UAE roots when it came time to leave federal court. The other side’s lawyers say they only learned about it later. The motion for sanctions has not yet been decided, and he plans to refile the case in California state court.#WLFI #Sun Yuchen
