The CFTC has opened the door to single-stock perpetuals

U.S. investors will soon be able to trade perpetual contracts linked to U.S. stocks on regulated exchanges
This is a major move at the intersection of traditional stocks and crypto derivatives

The four firms that have filed listing applications so far are:
KalshiEX
Coinbase Derivatives
Bitnomial, which has Kraken
Nadex, which has Crypto.com
All must meet strict requirements, including CFTC exchange registration, DCM and DCO clearing, as well as SEC-side registration

Bankless founder Hoffman also noted that
Lighter will submit materials to the CFTC this month
If approved, it would be the more decentralized one on the list

Regulatory approval doesn't mean everyone can jump in right away
The product launch timeline, margin requirements, and range of underlying assets
will determine where liquidity flows
U.S. stock sentiment and highly leveraged crypto positions
will be more likely to move in sync
