Binance announced on Tuesday (3) that hackers used a fake job interview to compromise a computer and an internal artificial intelligence tool to gain control of the company's wallets before stealing $6.3 billion in cryptocurrency from the company.
In an initial report on what went wrong, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange detailed a sophisticated operation that began with an advertisement for a tampered version of a programming tool in June and triggered a series of security breaches that culminated in the largest theft in history on October 29.
