U.S. Midterm Elections: What really moves the crypto market is not just the election results, but the policy direction Washington takes next.

U.S. midterm elections have always been about more than the redistribution of political power; they are also an important factor affecting global financial markets.

For the cryptocurrency market, what matters about this election is not which party wins how many seats, but three key areas:

1. Whether crypto regulation becomes clearer

The U.S. regulatory stance toward the crypto industry will directly affect exchanges, stablecoins, institutional capital, and the development of the industry as a whole. If the direction of congressional efforts to advance crypto legislation changes, the market may reassess the future of U.S. crypto policy.

2. Fiscal policy and dollar liquidity

After the midterms, the balance of power in Congress could affect budget decisions, government spending, and fiscal negotiations. These factors will in turn influence Treasury yields, the U.S. dollar, and market risk appetite.

And what the crypto market needs most, as always, is ample liquidity.

3. Political uncertainty and safe-haven flows

Markets may experience short-term volatility before and after the election results are announced. But the emotional shock caused by political events does not necessarily translate into a long-term trend. What is truly worth watching is whether capital flows back into risk assets and whether institutions continue to increase their crypto allocations.

My view:

Don't treat the U.S. midterm elections as simply a bullish or bearish event.

If U.S. crypto regulation continues to advance, fiscal policy maintains market liquidity, and the dollar and Treasury yields do not put excessive pressure on risk assets, the crypto market could still see a new narrative around capital inflows.

For ETH, beyond the development of its own ecosystem, institutional capital, ETF flows, and changes in overall market liquidity are also worth watching.

Politics sets the direction of policy, policy affects capital flows, and capital flows are what ultimately determine how far a bull market can go.

This time, I'm paying more attention to policy after the election than to market moves on election day.
