According to Jin10, Axios reported that the White House sent government officials and outside supporters internal messaging materials saying U.S. President Donald Trump actively campaigned for Republicans in the midterm elections. The materials said Trump and Vice President JD Vance had held more than 50 rallies since the Republican National Convention in September and claimed the party’s prospects had improved from four weeks earlier. They described the Trump administration’s record over the past two years as “the most successful two years in history,” promoted its immigration, public safety and economic policies, and criticized six Democratic candidates. The report said the effort was also viewed as a way to emphasize that Trump had done all he could to help Republicans before a potentially unfavorable election result.
