World Liberty Financial is a crypto project associated with the Trump family. But I wouldn’t buy it just because it has a famous name attached. Let’s take a look at what it actually has to offer.
As of November 3, WLFI is trading at around $0.051. Its all-time high was about $0.33. That means the coin has lost around 85% of its peak value. That’s painful for early buyers, but a reason for new buyers to figure out why it has fallen so much.
🧐 What does the project do?
World Liberty is developing blockchain-based financial services. One of its key products is the USD1 stablecoin, issued by BitGo.
WLFI itself is a governance token: it lets holders participate in project decisions. There’s also staking with potential USD1 rewards, but tokens are locked for at least 180 days, and participation is subject to voting requirements. The yield may change.
It’s important to understand that WLFI is not a company stock. Growing popularity of USD1 alone doesn’t necessarily mean the price of WLFI will rise.
🚀 Where’s the potential?
The project has name recognition, connections, and financial products that could help build an ecosystem. If use of USD1 expands and holding WLFI becomes more rewarding and useful, that could support demand.
But its market cap is already around $1.6 billion. This isn’t a small coin that could grow tenfold on the back of a couple of high-profile posts.
🎯 What targets would I consider?
From a price of $0.051:
• $0.075 — approximately +47%. A moderate recovery scenario.
• $0.10 — approximately +96%. Almost a twofold increase, which would require sustained demand.
• $0.15 — approximately +194%. A strong bullish scenario, assuming favorable market conditions and project growth.
• $0.20 — approximately +292%. A highly optimistic scenario that I wouldn’t use as my baseline.
These are reference points for assessing potential over the coming months, not confirmed resistance levels or a promise of growth. If the circulating supply stays the same, a price of $0.20 would imply a market cap of around $6.4 billion. If the supply increases, an even higher valuation would be required.
⚠️ What could spoil the picture?
Future unlocks increase the available supply. Another risk is the conflict with Justin Sun over frozen tokens. On November 3, he reported filing a new court application. The allegations are disputed, and there has been no final court finding of fraud.
My view: WLFI has recovery potential, but an 85% drop doesn’t automatically make it a good buy. I’d be more interested in seeing demand for the token itself grow and the unlock situation become clearer.
Would you be willing to buy a project with a big name after such a steep drop, or has trust already been lost? 👇
