Crypto in Europe: what changes on January 8, 2027
January 8, 2027, is a key date for cryptocurrency users in the European Union. In this video from Territorio Blockchain, Fernando Molina reviews the changes coming with the implementation of MiCA.
From that date, licensed exchanges in Europe will stop offering stablecoins that do not comply with the regulation. These include USDT, from Tether, the world's largest stablecoin by trading volume.
