💭 A brief take: The panic triggered by a drop often costs more than the drop itself

Yesterday, the market was still digesting the fallout from the Binance hack: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw nearly $400 million in net outflows in a single day, with cumulative outflows since the incident exceeding $1 billion. Around $370 million in positions were liquidated over 24 hours, the vast majority of them longs. The Fear & Greed Index briefly returned to the fear zone at 26.

But the market has edged back up this morning: $BTC is back around $77,599, up about 0.9% over 24 hours; $ETH is around $2,286, up about 1.5%; BNB is around $697, basically flat; and Solana is around $93, up about 1.6%. A decent rebound doesn’t necessarily mean the trend has reversed.

My view is simple: institutional outflows and liquidation data show that “leverage is exiting,” not that “faith is collapsing.” Especially at times like this, it’s better not to chase rallies or sell into drops. Instead, watch trading volume and whether key support levels hold before deciding whether to add to your position.
