The strength of $LIT this round is driven by more than just market sentiment: Lighter is pushing “on-chain stock trading” toward regulatory compliance and scale.

The CFTC’s approval of perpetual stock contracts marks key regulatory progress in product design. If subsequent applications for DCM/DCO licenses continue to move forward, they will further increase certainty around institutional participation. Meanwhile, the expansion of on-chain stock data feeds will broaden asset coverage and increase user activity.

Fundamentally, the current price is about $3.07, with 24-hour trading volume of about $61.15 million and a market cap of about $767 million. What’s more notable is that rising trading volume is coinciding with buybacks: revenue is growing, and the token has demand support. That’s more substantial than a narrative alone.

I’ll continue tracking three signals: licensing progress, new categories in stock data feeds, and whether trading volume can continue to drive buybacks. If all three reinforce one another, Lighter’s narrative could evolve from a “decentralized order book” into “compliant, on-chain stock infrastructure.”
