【U.S. retail investors no longer need to go offshore! CFTC officially clears stock perpetual contracts】
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced on Nov. 3 that perpetual contracts linked to individual stocks can be listed on a U.S.-licensed exchange for the first time, under joint CFTC and SEC oversight. The aim is to bring Americans who have gone to offshore platforms to trade these products back home. The exchange and stocks involved have not yet been announced. Hyperliquid, which has been pushing the limits with perpetual contracts, still hasn’t obtained a U.S. license. HYPE on Binance is currently trading at around $86.5, up about 1.6% over 24 hours.
