#BINANCE HACK UPDATE: THE $6.3 BILLION ATTACK REPORTEDLY STARTED WITH A FAKE JOB INTERVIEW....

According to CoinDesk, attackers allegedly posed as recruiters and sent an engineer a coding assignment infected with malware.

But the attack didn't stop there.

Here's how the operation reportedly unfolded.

Attackers used an internal AI tool to reach two wallet engineers' computers.

Stolen credentials allowed them to execute a malicious script on October 29.

They then exploited Ethereum's EIP-7702 feature to gain control of a Binance hot wallet.

It reportedly took around four hours to contain the incident.

Binance has also shared important recovery updates.

$2.85 BILLION in assets reportedly frozen.

98% of affected tokens replenished using company funds.

Binance says users will not bear the losses.

The FBI attributed the attack to North Korea.

This incident is a reminder that crypto security is not only about protecting private keys. Even trusted employees and internal systems can become targets.

Stay informed. Security matters in this industry.
