SOUTH KOREA WEIGHS 99% COLD WALLET RULE AFTER $6.3B BINANCE HACK

South Korea's Financial Services Commission (FSC) is considering increasing the minimum cold-wallet storage requirement for crypto exchanges from 80% to 99% to strengthen customer fund protection.

The proposal could increase security costs and slow withdrawals, particularly for smaller exchanges.
Note: The 99% requirement is still under consideration, not officially approved.
