$AAPL.US đ APPLE BEATS WALL STREET EXPECTATIONS: PRICE HIKES SUPPORT RESULTS
Apple posted a strong quarter, driven by demand for its iPhones and a pricing strategy that allows it to partially offset rising component costs.
đ For its fiscal fourth quarter of 2026, the technology giant reported revenue of $114.48 billion, exceeding analystsâ estimates of $113.39 billion. Earnings per share came in at $2.10, compared with expectations of $1.99.
đą iPhone sales rose sharply, reaching $57.58 billion. Macs also performed well, generating $10.79 billion in revenue.
But behind these encouraging results, several challenges are emerging.
Rising memory chip prices, fueled by demand related to artificial intelligence, are putting increasing pressure on margins. Apple expects a gross margin of between 45% and 46% for the December quarter, down from 47.9% in the previous quarter.
đĄ The company is counting on price increases for some iPhones and MacBooks to protect its profitability. However, this strategy could test consumer loyalty.
