【Tested】The free tier doesn’t close based on time—it closes based on quantity

HIVE Agents (BNB Chain, 10,000 units). I watched it for three days:

· 11/2: totalSupply 832; the first 1,000 are free, with 168 spots left
· 11/3: totalSupply 1024; the free tier closed, and the 0.00015 BNB tier began (about $0.11)
· Final price: 0.00135 BNB, 9x the price for the first batch

I got one of the free ones because an automated scan got there before me (see my previous post for details).

Three rules of thumb:

1. The free allocation is based on the “total quantity,” not on “time.” When the announcement says “the first 1,000 are free,” it means it ends once those 1,000 are claimed—it doesn’t matter what time you show up or how many days have passed.

2. The real purpose of tiered pricing is to create urgency. The same thing costs 0 one day earlier, 0.00015 the next day, and 0.00135 in the end—a 9x price difference, even though the item is exactly the same.

3. To figure out how many free spots are left, check the chain: totalSupply and FREE_SUPPLY. The “remaining” figure in the announcement can go out of date; the on-chain data won’t.
