Apple posted its first quarterly report under CEO John Ternus. Revenue hit $114.477 billion, up 12% year over year. Net income reached $30.711 billion. Diluted EPS came in at $2.10, up 14%.
iPhone revenue set a September quarter record at $57.583 billion. Mac revenue was $10.792 billion. Services revenue hit an all-time high of $31.573 billion. iPad revenue was $6.229 billion. Wearables, Home and Accessories brought in $8.3 billion.
Greater China revenue jumped to $17.539 billion from $14.493 billion a year earlier.
On the earnings call, Ternus said Mac sales hit an all-time high this year. He said Apple is working to monetize AI capabilities. Some server based AI features will have usage limits. The goal is to push heavy users toward iCloud+ subscriptions.
Ternus also talked about the new Siri. He called it the Siri we have always wanted.
For the December quarter, Apple expects total revenue to grow 7% to 10%. That would set a new company record. Services revenue is expected to grow 8% to 9%.
