🔷 Lisk shut down its network, but the token $LSK will live on
On November 2, Lisk shut down its Ethereum L2. The project itself, however, is still going.

First, Lisk Portal and Bridge were shut down, followed by the rest of the network. About 5.2 million LSK from the staking rewards contract will be burned, after 100 million LSK were burned in September. LSK remains on Ethereum as a “loyalty token.” The new Lisk is a platform for businesses: invoices, payments, approvals, fiat, and stablecoins.

The token is now tied not to a blockchain, but to a product for companies. Businesses will only start earning and spending LSK in 2027, and the platform is still at an early stage.

A full return of assets from Lisk Chain is not guaranteed; a manual claim is promised for early 2027.

Would you hold a “loyalty token” for a platform that’s just getting started? 👇
