No need to upload to the cloud or pay for a subscription—you can collaborate on edits over a local network.

Baoyu’s baoyu-design now supports local network team sharing: once a design or slide deck is ready, generate a link using an internal IP address and port, and colleagues or your boss can edit and comment directly, with changes synced in real time. All data stays on your device. You can also set read-only, comment, or edit permissions. The DeepSeek harness plugin supports this too.

What does this mean? Previously, collaborating on edits meant either uploading to the cloud or paying for a subscription. Now, as long as everyone is on the same local network, a single link lets everyone edit the same document at the same time, with changes synced in real time—and the data never leaves your device.

My take: local tools are taking back the work of cloud collaboration. For things like designs and slide decks that change frequently and need to stay private, combining your own device with a local network is a better fit than the cloud. I think small teams and data-sensitive use cases will benefit first in the short term. But collaboration across networks or regions will still rely on the cloud; this feature fills the gap for local networks rather than replacing cloud collaboration entirely.
